Item Description
Both are c. 1928. First is 8x10" glossy Fox movie studio publicity photo showing George O'Brien wearing baseball uniform with "TM" patch. Reverse side has paper caption including text "While Babe Ruth's Club Is Growing Barnacles This Season George O'Brien, The Handsome Fox Star Has Been Banging Out Homers As Chief Stick Swinger For The Tom Mix Club Of Hollywood". The Tom Mix semi-pro baseball team consisted of various movie stars who played other stars around Hollywood. Second item is 3.5x5.5" French postcard of actor Richard Dix in New York Yankees uniform, obviously a promotional photo for his 1928 feature film "Warming Up". Lower right has small Paramount logo. Both have trace of lt. aging. Fine. Interesting pair. From the Richard Merkin Collection and comes with Hake's COA.
