Item Description
Published for Central High School Kansas City, Mo. 9x10.25" hardcover published by Punton-Clark Kansas City with 168 pages. Typical yearbook content and photos. The highlight for baseball collectors is page 108 with full page photo of 12 member baseball team in uniform. Casey Stengel is in the front row center identified (name misspelled) as "Stengle (Capt.)". Stengel would quit high school at 19 to play professional baseball and go on to have a life-long career in the sport as a player and then manager, culminating with his induction into the Baseball HOF in 1966. Other contents of note include photos of staff artists Ralph Barton and Ray Van Buren who would go on to greater fame as magazine illustrators later in life. Art by both is scattered throughout. Front and back covers have come totally loose as have a few pages but all is complete and otherwise intact. Several pages w/worn margins but most just have faint extreme margin moisture stain in no way affecting contents. Pages still remain clean and glossy overall. Cover Fair, pages still largely Fine including Stengel page.
