Lot of 19 (17 different and two dupes) from set of 40 issued in the 1930s by Federal Sweets & Wafer Co. Each is 1.25x3.5" w/nice art fronts w/portraits and action images, text backs w/brief bio for that subject. This series featured famous people of various eras and this lot includes: Beethoven, Caesar, Columbus, Henry Ford, Robert Fulton, Henry Hudson, Jennie Lind (2), Mussolini, Napoleon, Nightingale, Adelina Patti, William Penn, Revere, FDR, Alfred E. Smith (2), Solomon, Daniel Webster. Small bit of candy stain on three fronts including FDR, bit of staining to several backs as well. For the most part cards are clean and w/fairly sharp corners. Mostly VG/Exc. to Exc. Scarce series.
