Item Description
14x19.25" first and only printing for May 24-26, 1968 concerts at the Carousel Ballroom that were to feature Janis Joplin with Big Brother & The Holding Company although they had to cancel, appearing a few weeks later. Big Brother & The Holding Co. names are crossed out in black felt tip pen and done at time of performance cancellation, making this a "Type 2" poster w/"Type 1" being the unaltered version. Concert also featured Clara Ward Singers, H.P. Lovecraft. Art by Crazy Arab features a Dali-esque design of nude woman on carousel pony riding around mystical merry-go-round as children play in bkg. Minor corner wear, bright and clean appearance. Exc. A scarce and striking poster.
