Item Description
3x5" lined index card has been signed in blue ink on unlined reverse. Maris hit a record 61 home runs during the 1961 season for the New York Yankees, breaking Babe Ruth's 1927 single-season record of 60 home runs. Maris' record stood for the next 37 years. In addition, Maris appeared in seven World Series games, was a two time AL MVP (1960–1961), seven time All-Star (1959–1962), and an AL Gold Glove winner in 1960. Card is lightly aged with a darker .25" age streak at right edge. VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
