Item Description
9.25x11" spiral-bound 225 page copy of the report sent to "Office Of The Commissioner - Major League Baseball" on June 22, 1989 concerning "The Matter Of: Peter Edward Rose, Manager, Cincinnati Reds Baseball Club." In Aug., 1989, three years after retiring as an active player, Rose was banned from baseball amid accusations that he gambled on games while playing for and managing the Reds, including claims that he bet on his own team. In 1991, the Baseball Hall of Fame formally voted to ban those on the "Permanently Ineligible" list (including Rose) from induction. In 2004, after years of public denial,Rose admitted to betting on baseball, but never against the Reds. Ironically, Rose has boldly signed this copy of the report that ended his baseball career in blue felt tip pen. Exc. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
