6.25x9.25" hardcover w/dust jacket has 272 pages published by Houghton Mifflin Company, ©1975 Arthur Ashe and Frank Deford. Signed on inside cover in black ink. Ashe won three Grand Slam titles and was the first black player ever selected to the United States Davis Cup team and the only black man to ever win the singles title at Wimbledon, the US Open, or Australian Open. Ashe was also a social activist, campaigning against apartheid as well as for HIV and AIDS awareness. Ashe died from AIDS-related pneumonia on Feb. 6, 1993. Book is NM. DJ shows some wear with a few small tears at edges. Fine overall. Come with Hake's COA and JSA COA.
