Item Description
Each is 10x13.75" faithful reproduction of a classic Golden Age comic book, published in the mid-1970s. All are signed in ink on inside front covers. Includes “Detective Comics” #27 signed at the top by editor “Vincent Sullivan” and interior artist “Fred Guardineer”, “Whiz Comics” first issue signed at the bottom “Charles Clarence Beck 1974”, “Batman” #1 signed at bottom of front and back covers “Jerry Robinson”, and “Flash Comics” #1 signed at top of first splash page “Harry Lampert 2000”. A few minor cover handling creases. Overall Fine/VF. Vincent Sullivan was the editor of “Detective" #1, “Action” #1 and many other key issues. Fred Guardineer did many back-up features and random covers for DC in the 1930s. C.C. Beck was the main Captain Marvel artist from 1940 onward. Jerry Robinson was Bob Kane’s first assistant on Batman, and did the front and back covers of “Batman” #1. Harry Lampert was the first artist on “The Flash.” All signatures were obtained in person. Comes with Hake’s COA.
