Item Description
Made by Philadelphia Game Mfg. Co. Designed for participation of 240 American and National League players of 16 clubs. 13.5x19.25x2.5” box w/ game title paper on top opens to reveal 12.5x18.5" playing field w/ die-cut holes on left side and two compartments on right side. Largest compartment is spinner area w/thin metal posts designating various plays including hits and bunts. Second compartment has instruction sheet in bottom and two boxes. One box holds wood peg playing pieces. Other box has 15 small printed envelopes, each 1.75x3”, for “Cut Pitchers and Catchers Only From Lineup Cards” w/space for club and league names. Each envelope has ink text on front by original owner noting club and league name, with properly cut out pieces inside. Comes with nine of 16 that came with game additional uncut lineup cards, each 1x3.5” and 6x12” two sided illustrated sheet w/brief overview of game which originally sold for $3.50. Players names on uncut cards include: Lajoie, Baker, Wagner, Speaker, Tinker, Evers. Box and spinner area have lt. wear. VG. Field area Fine. Incomplete, but playable with superb design.
