Item Description
Both are c. 1940s. Cookie jar is 11.5" tall. Produced by Pottery Guild of America. Main portion appears as wooden barrel w/"Elsie" name and "Handle With Care - Use No Hooks, Fragile" raised text. Back of barrel has Elsie's tail design. Lid consists of Elsie's upper body, her front legs serving as handles. Has repair to ear and chips on inner rim. Displays Fine. Lamp is 4x4x7.5” tall. Glazed ceramic lamp base has Elsie wearing her iconic daisy necklace seated in chair with open storybook and son Beauregard on her lap. Likely produced following her famous popularity at the New York World’s Fair. Original wiring, cord and lamp socket present, but needs to be rewired. Lamp base has typical and usual overall crazing but remains bright and glossy. Displays VF.
