This huge celluloid plaque has a pair of openings for a stand up easel on the reverse but that is gone and instead a thin wire is substituted so the piece can be suspended. The piece is c. 1910-1920. It has a large but light stain on the right side from 2 o'clock down to 5 o'clock. At 3 o'clock is a dark spot and tiny flake of celluloid missing and on the upper right the edge is slightly dented with a series of tiny craze marks that include a couple of actual .5" or smaller splits. In addition the right white bkg. has minute craze marks and a slightly rough surface. In spite of all of this the illustrated area displays cleanly. It shows a young black boy urinating through a tree trunk but his face is covered in tears as a goose on the opposite side of the tree has grabbed his penis. We've seen this illustration once or twice in other formats but never as this giant celluloid.
