Item Description
c. early 1900s. 8.25" dia. high quality gold accent hand painted Schumann plate made in Germany. Center has wonderful art image of pier and buildings w/people in foreground on boardwalk. Exc. The first hotel opened in Atlantic City in 1853. The boardwalk opened in 1870, and by 1875 over 300,000 people were visiting by train. Steel Pier opened in 1898.
