Item Description
Stickpins are about 2.25" to 3" tall. In order: the first depicts the Sphinx with the word "Aged" across the base and reverse text for issuer "Pitcairn Varnish Co." Next shows pair of painter pallets and text reads "Artura/Trade Mark." Minor ripple on the pin. Next shows buffalo with letters "A.L.O." on the front and reverse text "Buffalo Oil Paint & Varnish Co." Next shows paint can with word "Walamo." Reverse text for "Lincoln Paint & Color Company Lincoln, Nebr." Small ripples on the pin. Next has pine cone design and company initials "LBL Co" with reverse text "The Long-Bell Lumber Co." Next has Pennsylvania keystone symbol with text "Reineke, Wilson Co Pittsburgh/Good Gas Goods." Next are two identical with spike design on the front reading "The K K." Reverse text reads "W.H. Maze Co Makers Of Rustless Shingle Nails Peru, Ill." Next is a miniature trowel with text on the blade for "Kosmos Portland Cement." Minor luster loss. Finally is a solid brass piece designed as a stack of gold coins. This is heavy and serves as a paperweight. Top shows a scroll with pine tree and text for "Burgess Sulfate Fibre Co/Portland, Me. USA." Some luster loss and minor wear. Items are Exc. to Mint except where noted. A nice group of early pieces.
