Item Description
3x6" cheque for £193.10 made out to the Savoy Hotel Limited and is dated July 1, 1950. This was during the period of filming for "Abbott And Costello Meet The Invisible Man," the 1951 comedy horror film directed by Charles Lamont and starring the team of Abbott and Costello alongside Nancy Guild. Cheque is on British Barclays Bank Limited Cheque No. 2/2708 and has two bank stamps on front, one on reverse. Cheque has been filled out and signed in blue ink. Blue pencil mark (likely bank's) partially through Costello's signature. Fine. From the Phil Delaney Collection. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
