Item Description
Two page 8.5x11" typed contract is dated July 1, 1944. Contract is between Crosby and Regent Pictures, Inc. and is for Crosby's cooperation in the 1944 American comedy film produced by Samuel Goldwyn, starring Bob Hope and Virginia Mayo. Crosby has a surprise cameo at the end of the film, Virginia Mayo's character passing by Hope and into the arms of another man, Crosby, who is playing a sailor. Indignantly, Hope's character says "That Is The Last Picture I Do For Goldwyn," and it was. Interestingly, contract notes Crosby's compensation as $1. Crosby and Bob Hope appeared in several popular films together, often w/Hope as the fall guy to Crosby's crooner characters. Crosby has signed second sheet in blue ink. Also signed by Vice President of Regent Pictures, Inc. Pair of punched holes at top of pages as issued and staple holes along top margin. Contract has been folded and has lt. corner tip wear. Fine w/bold signature displaying Exc. From the Phil Delaney Collection. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
