Attributed to Ub Iwerks . 9.5x12" animation sheet has 3x4.25" wide lead pencil image area w/figure of Mickey Mouse holding mallets in air related to scene six minutes into the cartoon where he used mallets to play bull's teeth. Lower right corner has lead pencil number "334," reverse side has small ink stamp number "329". Sheet has lt. margin aging. Image area is clean and Exc. Nice example. Released on Nov. 18, 1928, Steamboat Willie was the third of Mickey's cartoons to be produced, but was the first to be distributed and the first to be shown more than once in a theater. It is historically recognized as the first cartoon to feature a full soundtrack. A clean and tight historical drawing.
