Item Description
From same set as #1121. Card front reads "Wardfield, S. Clara B.B.C." Sharp, bold image. Warfield was an infielder and manager in the Negro leagues. He led Hilldale to consecutive Eastern Colored League pennants in 1924-1925, including a World Series victory in the latter season. He also managed the Baltimore Black Sox to the only American Negro League pennant, in 1929. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
