Item Description
From same set as #1129. Card front reads "Habana B.B.C. P. Chacón-Infielder." Slight margin trim but both sides of card remain very clean and image is bold. Chacon played 25 seasons in Cuba between 1908 and 1932. He ranks fourth in Cuban League history in stolen bases and led the league with a batting average of .344 in 1920-21. He managed Cienfuegos in 1929-30 when Negro League star Cool Papa Bell led the team to the Cuban League pennant. He was inducted into the Cuban Baseball HOF in 1949. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
