Item Description
6.5x9-1/8" Vol.15 No. 4, Jan. 15, 1942 issue. Published by Street and Assocs., 115 bw pages with nice cover artwork by George Rozen. Cover shows a beautiful illustration of The Shadow looking over his shoulder and holding large book as robed skeleton with entrance and exit bullet wounds to head and one eye points to book with a bloody finger leaving bloody marks. There is an explosion in the background and glass and brick fly in foreground as a knife is thrown into book. Book features story by Shadow creator Walter Gibson. Book has a .25" chip to upper left-hand corner which also affects first four pages in varying degrees. Book has some very minor edge wear. Pages are clean, tight and supple and Exc. Cover is clean, bright and retains a high gloss. Fine/VF. A classic Shadow cover.
