Item Description
Lot of two digest-size pulps measuring 7.25x7" with 128 pages each. Lot includes "A Blond for Murder" No. 2 an Ardini story published in 1948 by Vital Publications, Inc.; "Looks That Kill!" No. 5 a Valdor mystery published by Current Detectives, Inc. in 1948. Both issues were published under the Atlas Banner and were written by Shadow creator Walter B. Gibson. "A Blond for Murder" features a cover showing a blond being attacked from behind by a man. "Looks That Kill!" has a very stylistic cover showing a man's face with a woman with a bird dagger laying over top her, several eyes looking at image, and a large circular area is covered in hyroglyphics. Both issues have some minor handling wear. Blond book has some tanning to edges of pages, making them brittle. Looks book has a bottom .25" diagonal crease in upper right-hand corner and supple pages. Fine-VF in appearance.
