This item, related to our previous item, is the item used for the photo in Hake Pop Culture guide for JAC-55. This piece, likely designed by Orin Armstrong, was produced by the Robbins Co. for a General Mills Wheaties 1940 test premium with very few pieces in brass actually produced and distributed. The text on this unique proof reads "Captain/Jack Armstrong/Listening Squad." The lead plate is 1-5/8x2-5/8". Underside of the lead has lightly and neatly scratched company identification number of "M6685." This and items 1510 and 1512 are the final three lead proofs our consignor obtained decades ago that originated with a Robbins Co. employee. Mint as made. Unique. The Hake Guide value is $2,500.
