Book had an incredibly low print run of just 275 copies as done by publisher for Christmas gifts. Contains wraparound cover and eight detailed inside drawings by Sendak. Flyleaf page has ink inscription at top "Dec. '67 For Jan Welcome Home! Maurice." Barely noticeable extreme cover corner tip bumps. Overall covers Exc., contents NM. An extremely rare Sendak book w/superb art, further enhanced by a nice inscription to a friend and collaborator. Another copy of this book was sold at auction earlier this year for $2,250, but that copy was unsigned. From the Jan Wahl Collection.
