An original, Walt Disney Studio-created maquette (plaster-covered wire figurine made to provide a three-dimensional model for animators) of alligator character Ben Ali Gator from the 1940 Disney animated musical feature. 2-3/8" tall (to top of feather in hat) figure on 1.5" dia. metal base. Bottom of base is marked "5." These incredibly fragile items are rarely found intact as they were designed for the Studio. Nicely made w/detailed paint accents. Light wear to metal base w/hairlines where figure meets base, but figure itself is complete intact and o/w unaffected and displays Exc. See following items #2031-2033.
