An original, Walt Disney Studio-created maquette of ostrich ballet dancer character from the 1940 Disney animated musical feature. 2.25" tall figure on 1.5" dia. metal base. These incredibly fragile items are rarely found intact as they were designed for the Studio. This is not the main ostrich dancer Mlle. Upanova as figure is depicted wearing blue outfit that the other ostrich dancers wore in the film. Nicely made w/detailed paint accents. Hairline crack to legs w/tiny 1/8" chip to back of leg, though not noticeable when viewed from front. Additional tiny hairline crack to wing where it meets body is only noticeable upon close inspection. Displays Fine. This is the actual example shown in the Hake Disney Guide.
