An original, Walt Disney Studio-created maquette of elephant ballet dancer character (possibly Elephanchine) from the 1940 Disney animated musical feature. 3" tall figure on 1.5" dia. metal base. These incredibly fragile items are rarely found intact as they were designed for the Studio. Figure is depicted wearing pink unitard not seen in finished film. Nicely made w/detailed paint accents. Figure has had a neat glue repair to one broken ear, but this is only really noticeable in reflected light. Light wear to metal base w/hairline where figure meets base, but figure itself is complete intact and o/w unaffected and displays Exc. This is the actual example shown in the Hake Disney Guide.
