Item Description
Each 5x7.5" die-cut mask with full color likeness on front of professional Japanese baseball player Kaoru Betto. Betto was a Nippon professional baseball player who played for the Osaka Tigers from 1948-49 and for the Mainichi Orions from 1950-57. In 1950, Betto won the inaugural Pacific League MVP Award. From a set of eight. Back includes his uniform number, name and other text in Japanese. Eyes are die-cut pieces meant to be punched out, these remain intact as produced. This is a choice, high-grade example. Designated by SGC as from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
