13x16.5” vintage wood frame has mat w/9.5x13.25” opening w/superb watercolor art. Striking scene has man in boat wearing rain slicker rescuing African-American girl and boy in flooded farmland . He’s putting a blanket on the girl as boy sits on tree branch and barn w/black cat on top floats by in background. Art is signed “Margaret Bradfield” in pencil at lower left corner. Exc. Born in 1898, Bradfield is noted for her work on “Mr. Pudgins” and “900 Buckets Of Paint” as well as other children's books. Well done. Ready for display.
