Item Description
29 of 30 button set issued prior to 1932 including all presidents from Washington through Hoover. Each has color portrait on bkg. The button edge has president's full name and his dates in office. Set by Bastian. Each has Bastian backpaper. Missing only Zachary Taylor. Only three w/condition issues. John Quincy Adams has pair of .25" scratches on forehead showing only in reflected light. Cleveland has air under 75% of cello but tonal variation is minor. Coolidge has air under 40% w/that portion being lighter than portion w/cello against button design. The other 26 buttons are extremely clean w/high gloss. Exc.-Mint. Our last complete set (one of only two we've offered in our 46 years) exceeded $1,750.
