Item Description
Pair of 10.5x15.75" thin artboards for "Adventure Comics" issue #429 published by DC Comics Oct., 1973. Art is by Alex Niño, a Filipino comic book artist best known for his work for American publishers DC Comics, Marvel Comics, and Warren Publishing, and in "Heavy Metal" magazine. Art is for pages 23 and 25 of the issue and part of a story entitled "Pirate's Revenge" written by Steve Skeates and starring Captain Fear. Niño's stylizied pen and ink art deals w/Captain Fear being captured as a slave. Reverse of each page has DC Comics copyright stamp. Scattered lt. handling wear and editorial notation along margins. VF.
