Item Description
From same set as #1083. Glossy photo front w/text below portrait "Dreke Base Ball." Bold, sharp image. Dreke was a star with the Cuban Stars and Almendares Scorpions from 1918-1928. The Scorpions won the championship with Dreke in both 1924-1925 & 1925-1926. He died tragically in 1929 of tuberculosis at just 31 years of age. Dreke was elected to the Cuban Baseball HOF in 1945. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
