Item Description
12x13x4.25" deep, just over 14 lb. specimen contains three polished Ammonites, smallest measuring 4.5" dia. while largest measures 8.75" dia. All are from the Geisonoceras genus and date to Devonian Period (417 to 354 million years old) deposits near Erfoud, Morocco. Ammonites have been polished to a high gloss, nicely spotlighting the animal's chambers that have been replaced w/Calcite. Piece will stand on its edge for a wonderful display.
