Item Description
9" long mostly tin litho toy comes in original box. c. late 1950s by Horikowa, Japan. Box has trace of staple rust, mostly on the plain box bottom. Left side of lid has a faint moisture stain and some black smudges. Box remains tight, Fine. Spacecraft is marked on each side "Space Patrol" and man wearing suit, tie and helmet sits behind double-barrel gun which has plastic cover. Also has detailed control panel with TV screen showing space scene. Toy works and travels around with bump-and-go action as gun unit moves, lights and produces a firing sound. Toy has scattered tiny paint nicks but remains totally bright and glossy. Exc. Great design/action. The box for this toy is rare.
