Item Description
9" tall tin litho and hard plastic toy comes in original box. 1960s by Horikowa, Japan. Box lid has some light edge creases, one split corner. Minor .5" puncture on lid at top center. Box remains glossy, Fine and complete with cardboard inserts. Toy has detailed exterior including text and the logos of "United States/NASA." Toy works and features a number of actions. Toy travels around with flashing light. Every so often it stops as a pair of doors open and center body of capsule spins. One open door reveals circuitry with plastic cover over light that blinks while other door reveals hard plastic astronaut figure seated next to console with radar screen that lights up. Tin body has some scattered minute pinpoint paint nicks/scratches. Appearance remains N. Mint. Great design/action.
