See previous item for another early and historic Bazooka Joe related piece. This item is a 12.5x17.5" one-sided glossy paper slick. Small production notation on reverse reads "2 Page Spread/Color/Oct. 1947." Front text includes the headline "Topps Announces The New...Bazooka Atom Bubble Gum." Images include the first incarnation of Bazooka Joe, gum products including 20 count box, comics wrapper and prize booklet. There is also a photo collage of DC comic book covers in which Bazooka ads ran and issues shown include Superman #49, Detective #128, Flash #88, Star Spangled #7, etc. Text at this area reads "Backed With A Barrage Of Advertising In Comic Pages And On Radio Stations Reaching Millions Of Kids!" Additional inset ad for Philip Morris/MBS radio promotion of the gum. Three vertical crease lines at center and lt. handling wear. Clean appearance and Fine. Early and historic.
