2.5x5x2.75" tall solid piece of zoisite, w/natural ruby crystals encapsulated throughout. Zoisite is a green mineral that can also be found in a purple variety known as tanzanite. The rubies are noticeably scattered as they naturally occurred and are most evident on the lion's nose, mane, feet and on the base. The example this piece was carved from came from Arusha, Tanzania. While the base is rough, the lion has been polished. Inlaid eyes complete the piece for an Exc. display.
