Auction #184 - Part II
Item numbers 953 through 2651 in auction 184
Item Description
10x12" sheet of animation paper with watercolor art. Concept art from Dance Of The Hours section of Fantasia. Superb image of ominous-looking alligator backing hippopotamus against a stone column. Reverse of the sheet has studio back stamp noting artist James Bodrero, Sequence #10, Sketch #374, date of July 11, 1939. Sheet has scattered margin wear with some light creases, tack holes at corners. Lower left corner has dozen tiny tan spots caused by a paper clip but only noticeable when viewed closely. Margin defects could be easily matted out and art itself remains Exc. This is our last and best piece of Fantasia art from a group we purchased about 20 years ago. From the Hake collection.
