Item Description
High quality 24x31.5" textured cardboard portfolio contains sealed 22.5x30" lithograph and portrays the profile of King Leonidas from Frank Miller's critically-acclaimed "300" comic book mini-series. Leonidas stands w/shield and spear in hand against large moon bkg. Limited to 300, these lithographs were issued by Dark Horse (the comic publishers of "300") and ThingsFromAnotherWorld. Signed in pencil along bottom margin by both Frank Miller and his frequent colorist/collaborator Lynn Varley. Litho is also noted "AP" as an unnumbered artist's proof. Lower left corner has embossed "Dark Horse" emblem. Mint as issued. Portfolio has large "300" paper nameplate which has some rippling and portfolio is o/w Exc. These signed prints sold out quickly (even at their $300 issue price) after their issue in 1998 and are to this day hard to find on the secondary market.
