Item Description
Doll is 18" tall c. 1940s. Made by Freundlich. Composition body with cloth uniform. Fully jointed arms and legs. Shoes are replacements, no tag. Back of hat has moderate damage to composition not visible from front. VG/Fine. 7.75” tall composition bust bank is c. early 1940s. No trap. Moderate cracking and crazing of compo, but otherwise complete. VG. Scarce silk screened banner is 12x15.25” w/attached shield patch in center w/classic quote “I Shall Return”. Bit of edge wear. Fine w/ Exc. patch. Has pair of “Time Pony Edition” magazines each 6-1/8x8.25” w/34 pages. Both have MacArthur cover article. Dates are Oct. 30, 1944 and Aug. 27, 1945. Second issue covers Japan’s surrender. Both have original recipients name, rank, and office in ink on front covers. Lt. aging. VG/Fine. Nice grouping.
