Item Description
9.25x12" exhibitor book insert promoting 1923 silent drama directed by Robert Z. Leonard and starring his wife Mae Murray (1889-1965), an actress, dancer, film producer, and screenwriter who rose to fame during the silent film era and was known as "The Girl With The Bee-Stung Lips" and "The Gardenia Of The Screen." In keeping w/Murray's previous films and a few of her succeeding films, "Jazzmania" possesses some of the most provocative attire worn by an actress in film up to that time. Exhibitor spread shows four images of Murray in elaborate costumes, one photo shows her holding a lion cub. She has signed "To Myron With Love - Mae Murray" in blue ink. Edges show wear and spine has 1.5" and 2.5" splits at top and bottom. Good overall, but signature area remains distinct and displays VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
