Three items related to her 20 year friendship w/noted children’s book author Jan Wahl. See Jan Wahl biography in #1895. Typewritten letter is 8.5x11” w/two sides in original envelope. She discusses her problems with and dislike of certain nuns, dying and how “Living Alone And Seldom Seen, I Could Lie Around Rotting For Days”. Signed in ink “Love, Louise”. A few ink notations. Three folds as mailed, otherwise Exc. Full letter is on our website, and also in the wonderful “Dear Stinkpot/Letters From Louise Brooks” illustrated book by Jan Wahl and a copy signed by him is included in this lot. Exc. Third item is 6x8.75” lecture card titled “Jan Wahl Who Remembers Legendary Actress Louise Brooks” presented by the Gish Theater and Gallery in Ohio Oct.12,1997.Front has nice Brooks photo, reverse has Jan Wahl info on how he met Brooks.
