Item Description
25x26" frame contains high quality print that has been professionally matted to 17.5x18.75" and shows a voluptuous Vampirella posing at night in a graveyard on her own tombstone. Vapirella is a comic book vampire superheroine created by Forrest Ackerman and costume designer Trina Robbins in Warren Publishing's horror comics magazine "Vampirella" #1 (Sept., 1969). Smaller tombstone at lower right is marked "David L. Stevens 1955-1992." Art is ©1992 Harris Publications/Dave Stevens and was done by noted pin-up and comic book artist Dave Stevens (1955-2008), best known for creating The Rocketeer. Stevens is also noted for his many pin-ups of Bettie Page. Art has been hand-numbered "395/850" and was part of a limited edition and comes w/original portfolio sleeve/cover for print. Stevens has signed lower right corner of print in black ink. NM.
