5x7" sheet of paper w/"From Ripley - Believe It Or Not" letterhead running along left margin has hand-written note in black ink dated April 6 and date stamped April 7, 1943. Note written to "Louis" mentions State Department wire regarding "Our Friend Gypsy Markoff Will Arrive Home On Next Clipper" and extends invitation to "Home-Coming Dinner At My Studio Any Day Now." Note is signed "All The Best! Ripley." Note has pencil check mark, otherwise Exc. Olga "Gypsy" Markoff was a noted nightclub accordion player and had been injured in a airplane crash in 1943. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
