Item Description
Both are c.1920s. Each is 10.25x13.25” high quality matte finish boldly signed in fountain pen ink w/both in cowboy clothes. Hoxie is inscribed “To C. Robinson Jack Hoxie”. Guinan photo shows her pulling gun from holster. Upper left has vertical inscription “Sincerely, Texas Guinan”. Reverse side has noted New York City photographer “Alfred Cheney Johnston” ink stamp. Both photos have creasing and edge wear. Hoxie is VG, Guinan is Good. Hoxie appeared in 122 films between 1913 and 1933. Guinan was one of the first cowgirl stars, appearing in many films between 1917 and 1933, but her main claim to fame was her bawdy NYC nightclub where she greeted customers w/ “Hello, Sucker!" Comes w/Hake’s COA.
