7x9”. Dated Oct. 3, 1955 on “Office Of The Vice President” letterhead. Nixon is thanking Editorial Director Harry J. McLaughlin of “The Patriot And Evening News” for the letter of support to Nixon as Ike is recovering from a heart attack. Nixon's second paragraph reads " You Can Be Sure That Your Heart Warming Message Will Be A Constant Source Of Strength In The Days Ahead, As We Carry Out The Wishes Of The President And Join The Nation In Prayers For His Complete And Speedy Recovery." Signed “Dick Nixon” in steel-tip fountain pen 3” long. From the collection of York newsman and Nixon friend Harry McLaughlin. Two folds and minor small creases. Comes w/Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
