Item Description
2.5x10" illustrated envelope contains 9.75" long balsa wood/cardboard die-cut rocket ship w/metal weight in front for flying. Issued by Hikes Chocolate Coated/Malted Milk Coated Wheat Cereal c. 1937. Envelope includes illustration of the rocket speeding through space w/text that includes "Speed Gibson Says Eat Hikes." Envelope shows moderate handling wear w/.5" puncture. VG. Rocket has printing on each side plus additional "Eat Hikes" imprint on one side w/repeat envelope text. Cardboard tail fins have operating instructions printed on the back of one. Complete w/wooden launching stick w/original hardened rubber band. Rocket ship is Mint. Rare.
