Item Description
First is 3-1/16 x 4-11/16" trade card depicting a fat frog with bulging eyes and top hat positioned against a brick wall. His huge mouth is depicted holding a card with image of a chair and text "This Is Not The Presidential (Chair) But The Celebrated Marks', 850 Broadway." Reverse of the card promotes "The Marks Adjustable Folding Chair." Tiniest bit of margin and corner tip wear. Rare and Exc. The second card is 3-3/16 x 4-5/8". Cleveland and Harrison are pictured in athletic uniforms riding bicycles with wheels formed of concentric circles. Instructions on bottom margin are "Hold Card By Lower Right-Hand Corner And Give Small, Quick, Circular Motion And See The Race." Doing as instructed gives the illusion that the bicycle are moving. Small loss of surface paper on the lower right corner from being held numerous times. Also some small and very minor scattered smudges. Back of the card has advertisement for Clinton, Iowa shoe dealer. Fine. First we've seen. Pair.
