Item Description
From the same set as #1105. This card is from the Detroit Tigers subset. Charles "Boss" Schmidt's MLB career was spent entirely w/the Tigers, he played six seasons with them, 1906–1911. In 1907 he became the team's starting catcher as the Tigers won three consecutive American League pennants from 1907 to 1909. He also holds the dubious distinction of having committed five errors and allowed 16 stolen bases during the 1908 World Series, both records which still stand today. Designated by SGC as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection" and comes with Hake's COA.
