Item Description
This piece is unlisted in Hake and quite striking. The beautifully designed brass bar pin at the top features an Egyptian pharaoh’s head flanked by a pair of falcons with a design of four wings below. Text is gold lettering on the fabric. The green stripe at the right is noticeably faded compared to the color on the reverse but it still displays extremely well. Ribbon joins to a large 1.75" brass fob which holds a convex celluloid over a black and gray real photo portrait of young FDR. Reverse has name of maker W&H. Only example known to us.
