Item Description
Quay was the Republican boss in the late 1800's in Pennsylvania. He was an 1896 Presidential hopeful. These five lapel studs measure .75" to 7/8". The first reads "For President" and pictures Quay below. The second pictures him and reads "Compliments Pittsburg Press/For President, Mathew Stanley Quay." Next has his portrait only with no text. Tiny age dots on the background. Forth item has real photo of a man under the celluloid and the piece dates from 1896. Text above reads "Reform Within The Party." We do not know the identity. Very light and small age mark on left of his face. Last is lapel stud picturing Ohio Governor Asa Bushnell who followed William McKinley into office and served 1896-1900. All are Exc. to Mint except as noted.
