Item Description
2.5x4-3/16" stiff card titled on lower margin "Mrs. Woodhull, Broker." Reverse is blank. She poses in profile wearing very elaborate Victorian hat and dress. (see item #886) She became Wall Street's first female broker, was an early feminist, and advanced many social reforms that came to pass only years later. She was the candidate of the Equal Rights Party in 1872. Card has pair of pinpoint indents to the right of her hat and light traces of dust and minor stains primarily on the card mount rather than the actual applied photo. A Fine example.
